The mission for the San Juan County Geographic Information System is to provide quality geo-spatial data by utilizing advanced technological resources to help governmental departments effectively assist the community with their needs.

We encourage county departments to harness and utilize the power of GIS by providing technological resources, including an Enterprise GIS system and Internet Web Mapping solutions, that help to effectively reduce the amount of time and resources spent on various projects, and enhance the quality of project outcomes. We also promote the development of shared resources between local, state, and federal entities and private firms to help cut costs and provide accurate data for all parties involved.
