The Mission for the San Juan County Geographic Information System Department is to provide quality geospatial information along with GIS services to county departments and the public utilizing the cutting edge of technological resources that include an enterprise GIS along with the continued support of internet web mapping applications.

We continue to strive in the development of shared resources between County, City, and Government agencies as well as private firms. This collaboration has enabled us to cut costs and provide quality data to all parties which in turn benefit the residences of San Juan County.

To provide support and direction to County departments. To maintain consistent access to the counties GIS Data sets allowing personnel to effectively manage and maintain county assets.

To aid the public with the tools they need to gather detailed information utilizing the county web site from work or from the luxury of their home.
