Property is accepted 24 hours per day/7 days a week.  To drop off property you must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government issued photo I.D. If you have specific questions regarding property, please call the Property Office at (505)566-4500.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS

Correctional Healthcare Management (CHM) is the medical services provider for the Adult Detention Facility.  Medical questions should be directed to (505)566-4544.  Prescription medications for inmates may be accepted as follows:

• No over-the-counter medication
• No expired medication
• Inmate name must be on each prescription container
• Medication must be in the original container

POSTAL MONEY ORDERS ONLY

Commissary services are provided by Swansens Inc. Commissary questions should be directed to (505) 566-4518.  

Postal Money Orders are accepted Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm and on Thursday from 5:00am to 5:00pm at the Commissary window. No other types of money orders, personal checks, payroll checks or cash will be accepted.

Postal Money Order must be made payable to the inmate and will be endorsed nightly It may take up to 72 hours to be applied to the inmate’s account.

KIOSK

The kiosk located in the front lobby is operated by Swansens Inc. and accepts cash, debit and credit cards to put money on an inmate’s account.  Credit card and debit cards may also be used by utilizing the commissary provider’s phone or website.  The inmate’s CHJ number is required for these services.

Items must be purchased from inmate commissary after the first 8 days.  After 8 days, these items may be purchased only thru commissary at the facility.

  No spandex

  Color waist bands are acceptable

PROPERTY PICK UP / RELEASE

Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Must be at least 18 years old with a valid, government issued photo ID to pick up property. Only valuables will be released. Wait time may be up to two hours. Items not picked up the same day, will be returned to Property. 

MONEY RELEASE

Money will be released only within the first 72 hours after booking.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

TRANSPORT PROPERTY
(For inmates transferred to another facility)

Property Officer will contact the individual specified by the inmate when the property is ready to pick up.
