Public Meeting Notice: Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) Review

San Juan County will host a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) public review meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public, including plan stakeholders, Tribal members, non-profit organizations, local schools, and all interested parties.

The meeting will be held at: 209 South Oliver Drive, Aztec, NM 87410

During the meeting, attendees will:

• Learn how the LHMP was developed
• Receive an overview of the plan’s contents
• Understand how the LHMP benefits the community
• Have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on local hazards and concerns

A draft version of the LHMP will be made available for public review on County and participating jurisdiction websites. Attendees will also be provided access to an online survey to submit additional feedback.

We encourage your participation. Your input is important and helps build safer, more resilient communities. Public input received will be considered and incorporated, as appropriate, into the final LHMP update.
