Officials Plan Annual Full-Scale Drill
Aztec, NM—On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the San Juan County Office of Emergency Management will be conducting the 2024 San Juan County Full-Scale Drill.
The drill will take place in two locations. Both Bloomfield Fire Station 1 and Blanco Elementary will see police and fire department activity on Saturday starting around 7:00 am and concluding at noon.
This is a continuation of the full-scale drill series that SJCOEM has been coordinating for first responders on an annual basis.
San Juan County’s annual drill is a valuable training mechanism for all first responders and those who may be involved in a large-scale emergency. This experience is another way San Juan County’s first responders maintain a high level of service for the citizens through ongoing partnership. Bloomfield School District is a valuable partner this year by providing the use of the Blanco Elementary facility.
There should be no impact to the public during the drill.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the San Juan County Office of Emergency Management at (505) 334-7700.
