GloJean Todacheene represents the citizens living in District 1. GloJean has lived in San Juan County for more than 50 years.

She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration.

GloJean has been married for more than 35 years. She and her husband (Lonnie Todacheene) have two children. She was born in Ganado, Arizona and was raised in Two Grey Hills.
Her Navajo Clans are Honaghaanii and Naalani, Tl'aashchi'i and Naalani/Beesh Bi Ch'ahii.

GloJean prides herself on her civil involvement. She has held various positions within San Juan County including the following:
  • Shiprock Chapter Council Delegate 2007-12
  • Shiprock Chapter Vice President 2004-06
  • San Juan County State Central Committee Member 2000-06
  • San Juan County Democratic Vice Chair 1991-1994
  • San Juan County State Central Committee Member 1987-1992 .

She spent more than 20 years working for San Juan County schools. During her career as an educator in San Juan County she held the position of educator, administrator and principal. She has been recognized professionally throughout her career.

  • ZIA Award- UNM Alumni Association -- 1995
  • Milken Family Foundation Award for Excellence in Education -- 1994
  • Parent's Magazine Achievement Award featured for making a difference in the lives of children -- 1994
