The new riding arena is located next to the Memorial Coliseum. This indoor air conditioned and heated arena is very convenient and helpful for beef shows, clinics, and rodeos. The Riding Arena is 128' X 220' with a capacity of seating 1,250 spectators. This building features all the equipment needed to host a rodeo as well as a P.A. system, radiant heaters, evaporative cooling system, an office, an announcers stand, bleachers with handicap capabilities, drop plugs for clippers and fans as well as restroom facilities outside the south door. The Riding Arena also has a return alley that runs along the outside of the building making it easy and efficient to keep your rodeo or roping running smoothly. The arena ground is prepared to your standards and there is a tractor driver available if you request it. This facility is a great component of the McGee Park Facility. It is used as a beef barn for the San Juan County Fair.
