The Riding Arena is located east of the Memorial Coliseum. This indoor air conditioned and heated arena is very convenient and helpful for beef shows, clinics, and rodeos. The Riding Arena is 128' X 220' with a capacity seating of 1,250 spectators and features all the equipment needed to host a rodeo, as well as, restroom facilities outside the south door.

The Riding Arena also has a return alley that runs along the outside of the building making it easy and efficient to keep your rodeo or roping running smoothly. The arena ground is prepared before your event. McGee Park staff will provide a tractor driver (at an additional cost), if you request it. This facility is a great component of the McGee Park Facility.

McGee Park offers more for the horse industry than any other facility in the state of New Mexico. In addition to the two indoor arenas, McGee Park also has an Outdoor Arena that is 100' X 200' and has a spectator capacity of 1,250.

This arena is a wonderful aspect of the San Juan County Fairgrounds in the spring and summer season. This facility gives you the option of having an event outside to enjoy the weather and outdoor atmosphere. The outdoor arena has the capabilities needed for events such as barrel races, ropings, clinics, and schools. Although the grounds are not maintained as often as the two indoor arenas, McGee Park still will ensure the grounds are worked for your event.

The McGee Park Facility offers 100 permanent covered horse stalls with electricity, wash racks and restrooms. These permanent enclosed horse stalls are each 10' X 10' and are available for rent for events at $10.00 per head.

In addition to the permanent horse stalls, there are also 500 pony pens available. These pony pens are 10' X 10' each and are water accessible.

The stalls at McGee Park are some of the best in the state due to the hard work and dedication of the San Juan County employees.
