Please use the below form to register for our Girls with G.R.I.T. class.
The fall 2020 class is full and is scheduled to begin in September pending the COVID-19 pandemic. Submission of this form will place you on the wait list for classes in 2021.  

Girls with GRIT is offered FREE of charge and is a 10-week empowerment program for local, female, community members to become more aware of criminal activity and how to prepare and prevent becoming a victim of crime. The entire program focuses on providing attendees with the education and training to increase personal safety awareness and skills. The topics covered in the program include a hands-on self-defense class, drug recognition and awareness, sexual assault and domestic violence, technology crimes, communicating under pressure, firearms training, active shooter and many more! The classes are primarily taught internally, by premier Sheriff’s Office employees, who are considered experts in their fields. The GRIT program is only offered twice a year, once in the spring (March-May) and once in the fall (September-November). Students participate in a new class topic every Tuesday night for 10 weeks from 6pm to 9pm and two Saturday classes from 9am to 1pm.
