Starting January 13, 2025, the Mental Wellness Resource Center is now The Navigation Center!

Please call (505) 636-7110 for an appointment, or walk-ins are welcome every Wednesday.

The Navigation Center, formerly Mental Wellness Resource Center, began as an idea of the San Juan County Commission. Being concerned about the mental and emotional health of San Juan County residents, they created a central location to assist San Juan County citizens. The Navigation Center exists to help people navigate the complex systems of housing, basic needs, emotional, mental, and behavioral health. We help you access the services you need in a simple and collaborative manner.

Goals of the Navigation Center are:
  • Up-to-date and adequate information on community resources
  • De-stigmatization of behavioral& mental health needs
  • Improved awareness of treatment availability and other services
  • Increased suicide awareness and prevention efforts
  • Enhanced community awareness and collaboration
  • Assistance in finding housing options and other basic resources

Peer Navigators who understand the systems and are knowledgeable  in local services are available by phone or in-person to assist with accessing desirable services.
